Handvouwlamp

Handvouwlamp 3, 4, 5, 6 in steel, brass and copper. The design for the handfolded lamps came about when Piet Hein Eek accidentally bought a punching machine with a set of punching machine tools they wanted. Because they now had two punching machines and just one bending machine, Piet Hein Eek came up with several different lamp designs that could be punched and then folded by hand.

They use the punching machines to perforate the folding line, along which the sheet could be easily folded. The simplest design from the handvouw-series, no. 3, is now sold as a “do it yourself package. All handfolded lamps can be made in untreated steel, brass and copper.
